Thank you for contacting me. I am the editor of the American Society for Ado=escent Psychiatry newsletter. We are a small organization of psychiatrists =ommitted to advocating for the needs of troubled adolescents. Our membershi= is mainly general psychiatrists who work with teens, but we also have a fa=r number of child trained psychiatrists as well.
Each year we ask the APA president-elect candidates to submit a short essay =or inclusion in our January newsletter. The essay should describe your inte=est in adolescent issues and what you as APA president would do for the ben=fit of adolescents. Aside from that, there are no restrictions and I know o= no questions you are to answer.
I hope this helps some. We don't need your essay for a few weeks still but t=e sooner, the better. If you would prepare it in word format, that would be=very good as well since everything we do for the newsletter is done in word=
