As a long-time participant in M2M, I am asking for your support for APA President-elect.
Eleven years ago, Bert Warren developed M2M, a forum for members to discuss any issues, an egalitarian setting consistent with our efforts to have the APA be a democratic organization. M2M is among the most active of communities of psychiatrists, a 21st Century testing site for ideas, a site which has led to motions to the Assembly that eventually became APA policy, e.g., policies on carve outs and on “suicidality.”
M2M openness makes it perfect site for APA members wishing to interact with APA leaders. If chosen President-elect, I will remain on M2M to hear your views, share ideas and answer questions you may have. We want the APA to be a democratic organization in which the leaders are available to the members.
