Main Street Housing, Inc. provides some furnishings for common areas. Main Street Housing, Inc. is in the process of purchasing and developing suitable housing throughout Maryland. 2. Maryland Coalition of Families for Children's Mental Health:

A grassroots coalition of family and advocacy organizations dedicated to improving services for children with mental health needs and their families and building a network of information and support for families. Its activities include:

— Providing one-to-one support and advocacy for families caring for a child with mental health needs;
— Family Leadership Institute: An intensive six-month training program designed to inform, train, and empower families to advocate in their communities and in the state;
— Youth Leadership Program: A weekend retreat for a limited group of 15 youths ages 14-21 who have mental health needs to learn self awreness and self-advocacy within their communities. The retreat is in conjuction with New Transitions; and
— Newsletter and publications

3. National Alliance on Mental Health Illness of Maryland-NAMI-MD
(The Maryland Affiliate of the NAtional Alliance on Mental Illness)

NAMI MD is a state-wide organization dedicated to advocacy for and education of persons with serious brain disordes/mental illnesses, their families, andthe community, and to the support of affiliated organizations at the national and local levels. NAMI MD's activities include:

— Publish quarterly newsletter;
— Sponsor annual educational conference;
— Provide coordination andtraining for Family-to-Family trainers who then conduct courses through a local NAMI MD affiliate;
— Provide coordination and trainign for Peer-to-Peer trainers who then conduct courses through a local NAMI MD affiliate;
— Train presenters and coordinate Consumer Outreach and Education Program-In Our Own Voice;
— Provide statewide advocacy on behalf of consumers and families affected by mental illnesses;
— Provide phone assistance and refferal services through phone helpline; and
— Prove link to NAMI MD local affiliates throughout the State of Maryland
