Subpoenas must be served through personal service (meaning directly to you by process server); through certified mail with return receipt requested; by fax if you agree in advance to accept via fax. Subpeonas must also be served so that they are received with at least five days advance notice to the reccepient. The exception to all of this is that the recepient can agree to accept service under other circumstances or with shorter time constraints for notice.
