How to Come Up With a Color Scheme When Painting Warhammer Miniatures

You designed a great Warhammer army. You've talked to friends and they think you have the right balance of your playing style. You buy and collect soldiers. Now is the time to get cool so you can destroy all the enemies in style.

How should it look? What color scheme will you use for your squad? Tistaminis introduces some ideas on how to choose a color scheme.

The first thing you need is an inspiration. Check out the many important troops for inspiration. The game workshop tells a great rule book story and White Dwarf has great photos for 40k and WFB.

Of course, both genres have Army Books. There are thousands of blogs and dozens of forums online. You can search for a good photo.

Another great resource, and perhaps the best, is going to the bigger tournaments and seeing the soldiers there. Time is important here.

The best time to watch is between play during the first, second and third play when players see it on the battle ranking screen.

Red is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, strength, determination, passion, desire, and love. Yellow is associated with intelligence and energy. (Also joy and happiness, but that doesn't seem to apply to 40k or WFB).

Orange combines red and yellow and symbolizes enthusiasm, charm, creativity, determination, attraction, success, drive and stimulation.

Green symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility as well as security. You need to choose two or three colors for each color area – one for the main tone, one for the middle tone, and lastly.
